Experience the all the sparkling magic of the Zoo’s Festival of Lights! View the lights and zoo exhibits with your family. Then, join us in the Savannah Ballroom to celebrate the season together...in person! *NOTE-PROOF OF VACCINATION OR NEGATIVE COVID TEST WITHIN 72 HOURS OF EVENT WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY INTO THE BALLROOM.* Enjoy the lights and the zoo exhibits. Collect as many Gnomes as you can with the zoo's Game of Gnomes Scavenger Hunt! Have a member of your family count their steps to be recorded (there might be prizes involved)! See how fun getting in your steps can be! Black Christmas Trivia! Christmas Karaoke! Dancing! Selfie Station! *Help make the event even more special!*  Add to the playlist by giving the name and artist of your favorite party or Christmas song when you purchase tickets! Provide 2-3 pictures of your favorite Christmas memories. Drop them into the Rallyhood folder titled North Shore Holiday Magic Christmas Memories. *“A Can & a Coat!” Bring new or gently used coats hats, and gloves for the Winter Wear Drive benefitting the Community Crisis Center in Elgin, IL and canned good donation to benefit the Superbowl of Caring partner; the Northern Illinois Food Bank. *Children will enjoy crafts and storytelling! They will learn about African American inventor Lewis Latimer that invented the carbon filament, a significant improvement in the production of the incandescent light bulb. And, Roger Arliner Young, the first African American woman to earn a doctorate degree in Zoology. *A retelling of an excerpt from “The Holiday Party” detailing the story of the Jack & Jill Holiday Party!
