Description

Who’s ready to hit the trail? In this class, participants will go on a covered wagon adventure to settle in Texas! Introducing Homeschool Craft Adventures! Join ACR on the third Wednesday of each month for a crafting adventure designed specifically for homeschoolers! Who’s ready to hit the trail? This December, we're exploring the world of pioneers. In this class, participants will go on a covered wagon adventure to settle in Texas. We will make a simple covered wagon model, visit the general store to pack it with provisions for our journey, and encounter the local Tonkawa tribe. This class is best enjoyed by elementary age learners who can work independently. Instruction and all supplies are included in the ticket cost. About the Instructor: Hi, I’m Heather Oster. I’m a lifelong maker. For the last 10 years I have been a scout leader, and have been the artistic director and “art lady” the past 8 years for summer day camp. One of my favorite things is to gather inspiration from reclaimed materials, and collaborate with kids to make useful items from reuse. My classes will combine fun and creativity, and guide future makers as they learn new skills and explore their crafty side. Follow Heather's brand new IG at @scoutcraft_official Our mission is to promote conservation and reuse in our community through creativity, education and community building.  One of our core values is that Communities are powerful : It’s more fun to play together and collaborate with the experts in our area to conserve vital resources.
