Enchanting Winter Walk for Berkeley Rose Waldorf School - for Nursery though Gr 2 This year, like last, we are excited to be able to host the Winter Wander. This is an outdoor event, celebrating the winter holidays from around the world. It will be a museum-like enchanting walk where our littlest children can experience some winter magic. They will begin by meeting our Mother Earth, Gaia, who will share a few words with them and then send them on their journey around the world. Through their journey, they will see how different people celebrate winter and bring light into the darker, colder days of the year: the celebrations of Diwali, Hanukkah, Shab-e Chelleh, and visit a hibernating bear, see some charming dioramas set into frosted windows, experience a Japanese winter puppet show about generosity, and decorate a Christmas tree. Along the way the children will collect small treasures. Although this event is prepared for children ages 2 to 8, all children are welcome. _______ Buy your Holiday Tree and help us make our Winter Wander magical. Pick up your trees after the event on Sun Dec 5th - from 11am to 12pm. Berkeley Rose Waldorf School offers an inspiring, inclusive, and supportive environment guided by the principles of Waldorf education. Here, each child experiences a multi-sensory curriculum that incorporates movement, music, games, and visual arts. The school offers programs for parent-child, nursery, kindergarten, and grades. The early childhood program is a member of WECAN.
