The Gift of Motherhood is a childbirth education class designed to help prepare expectant mothers & their partners for parenthood. The gift of motherhood is a comprehensive childbirth education class designed to help prepare expectant mothers and their partners for parenthood. The purpose of this class is to help you understand the process of labor and to answer questions you may have about your upcoming birth. The more knowledge you have on the process of birth, the more likely you will approach your personal journey with confidence and a positive perspective. Educational Topics include: choosing care for yourself and your baby; thinking ahead to childbirth; discomforts of pregnancy; understanding labor and birth; medical interventions and cesarean birth; adjustment to parenting; breastfeeding your newborn; and caring for your newborn. At the end of class, you will be offered a hospital tour. This is a 7-hour class from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on scheduled Saturdays. Cost: $50/couple {CBCLS, BFCLS, ICCLS, LDTRS}
