Build soil, save water, smother weeds, and do good! Please join us to complete a community mulching project on the median island on Redwood Blvd. at the corner of De Long Ave. We've got four huge piles of mulch to spread, so bring your muscles and your friends (!), even if you can only join us for an hour. We'll meet on the island (7290 Redwood Blvd.) and safety vests, gloves, tools, snacks, and drinks will be provided. Sheet mulching (laying down cardboard and then a thick layer of mulch) helps save water, build soil health, and suppress weeds. There is no school on this day, and the project meets community service hour requirements at Novato and San Marin High Schools. For more info email: [email protected]
