E.G. Kight The Crimson Moon ALL AGES E.G. Kight AWARD WINNING SOUTHERN FRIED BLUES Through the years, EG Kight has developed her own unique sound. Creative Loafing magazine noted that on her 2021 THE TRIO SESSIONS record “Kight is in strong, smooth, controlled voice, with dollops of Phoebe Snow, Bonnie Raitt, and even Patsy Cline injected with a dose of Southern charm, class, and a touch of gospel.” Kight continues a long and successful career performing with a band, as a solo, and as a trio. The trio was in the studio making THE TRIO SESSIONS record in late 2019, anticipating a 2020 release date. But the pandemic changed that, for so many artists. So she released her first children’s book about her pet goats instead. Then in March of this year she released the “Burned” video, and now she's thrilled to finally get the new record out there to all of her fans. As with all her previous albums, most songs were penned by Kight. The new record debuted in the top 20 on several music industry charts, and it was nominated for a 2021 Blues Blast Award for Acoustic Blues Album. And Kight was nominated for Female Blues Artist. Kight was the epitome of "Americana" before there was a genre. In a world that seemingly needs to put a label on everything, it's clear that Kight's own "country flavored southern fried blues" straddles the line between Americana and blues, and gives the audience a hefty dose of the best of both worlds. Kight’s live shows are 80% originals, and the rest is covers of fan favorites. And according to the Griswold Auditorium in Allegan, Michigan, “EG engages the audience with true southern hospitality and steals their hearts like a first love, and leaves them feeling like they’ve just walked down a country road with an old friend.” www.EGKight.com E.G.
