A free, one-time special GriefShare program
The holiday season is near.... and due to the nature of Thanksgiving and Christmas with its focus on the family, yearly traditions, expectations, social events, and "cheer", there are families coping with the recent death of a loved one. In the coming days, those grieving willl be facing some tough emotions that can blindside them.
If this is the first holiday after your loved one's death, you can lessen the emotional impact by knowing what to expect and being prepared.
Surviving the Holidays is a special holiday one-time program produced by GriefShare, a grief support group program. We encourage you to attend where you can expect the following:
• Watch a video where you'll meet counselors, pastors, and "real-life" people who have experienced the death of a loved one.
• After the video, you'll have the chance to talk with others who have lost a loved one, discuss what you've learned on the video, and ask questions about any concerns you have. Please understand you do not have to share during the discussion time, but you will still benefit from listening to others.
• You will be given a free Survival Guide that has practical strategies, words of strength and encouragement, valuable tips, and charts, and exercises for daily survival through the holiday season.
These tools will enable you not only to survive the coming holidays, but also to face them with a measure of peace and assurance.
Propelled by the Great Commision, First Baptist Rogers seeks to reach nations for Christ. The church uses Acts 1:8 as its missions’ strategy to support local, state, national and international ministries.
