Lead Guitarist Interested in Joining or Forming Band

Description

I am a 63-year old lead guitarist who is looking to join an established band or build one from the ground up. My recording studio has been my principal musical outlet for many years, but I'm recently retired and the COVID stir craziness we all feel is pushing me out the door. I want do something new and different. I would like to put together a band to perform songs ranging from pop to classic rock from the 70's to the 90's (Tom Petty, David Bowie, Steve Miller, The Stones, John Mellencamp, Billy Joel, Bob Seger, Eric Clapton, The Doors, The Beatles, a thousand one-hit wonders, and much more). I'd like our songs to be familiar with most people and songs that have the potential to fill the dance floor. I don't feel we need to perform songs exactly as written, but this is often a good starting point and goal. On the other hand, a totally new arrangement of an old song can be inspiring. I am retired and have no intention of this being a money-making venture. I'm doing this based on my love of making music. However, I am serious about my art, and want to find musicians that are willing to do their homework and come to rehearsal knowing the songs we agreed to learn. I own a rack mounted, digital mixing board and in-ear monitoring system that is tablet/pc/phone controlled. I would like to use with the band I form/join. I also own a well-equipped Cubase recording studio. I'm fully vaxed (I hope you are, too) and am ready to make some new friends and fellow musicians. Please give me a call (or text) and let's see if we have some common ground. Craig (Five20) Four43 - Fourteen45
