CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of taking part in an attempted strong-armed robbery at the Subway restaurant on Drew Street Oct. 27. Police are looking for 24-year-old Emmitt Williams of Clearwater who was identified after video and photos of the robbery were posted on the Clearwater Police Facebook page. Just before 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27, a man confronted a woman as she was leaving the Subway at 2006 Drew St. and demanded the keys to her car. When she retreated into the store to get away from him, he followed her and tried to wrestle the keys away from her. She called for help and Subway employees notified police.
