Description

Check out Art & History Museums of Maitland's Spring Young Artist Afternoon Workshops. Learn all about colors in this 4-week course. The Education Department at the Art & History Museums of Maitland(A&H) is excited to offer Spring programming that fosters an appreciation for art and history through the immersive experience of various workshops offered to students from Elementary to High School. As we partner with our Artists-in-Action & other local instructors, we hope to expand and enhance educational opportunities at the A&H for Central Florida youth and their families. This in-person 4-week course is "Mixed Media: Color Theory" taught by Semie Shin and is geared towards Elementary students Grades 2-5. Students will learn all about colors and the color wheel through this workshop. With projects every week introducing new color themes and theories students will become color experts. This mixed media workshop will allow for them to dive deeper into exploring new mediums and art styles to further engage their artistic minds. Classes are on Tuesday Afternoons from 4PM to 5:30PM and start February 16 and end March 9. Please note this workshop takes place in the Studios at Lake Lily, not the Maitland Art Center main campus. Please note the location on your ticket. In person classes will have limited spaces. All students will have their own table and supplies for the week and access to sanitization stations. The safety and wellbeing of your child(ren) and family is important to us so we want to be cautious and follow the correct guidelines. For any questions please call at (407) 801-3205.
