HARLEM, NY — Police are investigating if an East Harlem woman was bitten by her dogs after she died, according to a report.
The New York City Police Department said the 65-year-old woman was found dead after officers entered her apartment on Nov. 3 to do a wellness check. The woman lived on the 1700 block of Lexington Avenue.
The New York Post reported the city medical examiner found possible puncture marks on the woman's face. Police told the Post the marks may be from the dogs she had in her apartment.
The woman, who has not been identified, appears to have died of natural causes, police told the Post.
Police are still investigating the cause of her death.
