Ed Welburn, former Vice President General Motors Global Design shares his thoughts on the history of automotive design from 1920-1970. As just the sixth head of design for General Motors and the first person ever to lead GM Design globally, Ed Welburn is one of the most influential vehicle designers of his time. Throughout his 44 years with GM, Ed was involved with the design of at least 540 vehicles and created a legacy that will leave an enduring mark in the history of the automaker. Ed first fell in love with automobiles at the Philadelphia Car Show, making him both a national and local treasure. Please join us as we welcome Ed back to the Simeone Museum and his hometown of Philadelphia for a very special one-day event.
