Job description Playhaus is a wood fabrication-design start-up based in Richmond, CA. We make wood veneer panels, oversize doors that stay flat, architectural beams, custom furniture, and cabinetry. We've recently completed jobs for world-class design agencies and architects, top restaurants, Silicon Valley's hottest companies, and high-profile clients. Our small but growing team is composed of seasoned craftsmen led by one of the most well-respected woodworkers in the industry. The Opportunity This is an opportunity to work in the warehouse of a wood fabrication and design company as a Facilities Maintenance / Janitor Associate. If you're highly organized, driven, and a team-player, we'd love to speak to you. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Driving a pick up truck with a trailer Driving a forklift to unload / load material Perform quality checks on inbound goods Change lights perform Perform general equipment maintenance and cleaning Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies Keep office area clean and dusted Properly organizes all supplies and equipment Keeps work-spaces free of obstructions, floors clean and clear Owns all trash and recycling efforts, ensuring all materials are sorted and placed in a their right places Assist shop woodworkers lift, press and sand wooden doors and panels for fabrication Sweeping, vacuuming and washing floors Moving supplies and heavy equipment Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Must have prior janitorial experience Must be able to drive a pick up truck with trailer Must have forklift experience Strong attention to detail required Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all cleaning procedures and guidelines and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks, and demonstrates initiative Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry objects weight up to 60lbs Long periods of and standing and walking around our 25,000 sq ft facility Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back. Bending, gripping, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items Requires the ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise/equipment when necessary, must be able to stand/walk regularly. Requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-50 pounds)
