FREEPORT, NY — Three men were arrested and charged with murder for the death of a Long Beach man in Freeport on Sept. 10. Corey Grier, 27, of Guy Lombardo Avenue, Freeport; Eric R. Baldwin, 25, of Guy Lombardo Avenue, Freeport; and Todd Brant, 20, of Pinewood Crescent, Middle Island were all arrested by Nassau County police on Wednesday and charged with the murder of James Diamond, 28, of Long Beach. According to police, Freeport police officers responded to a home on South Bay Avenue at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 10. They found Diamond with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor. Grier, Baldwin and Brant were all arrested Wednesday in connection with the murder. Grier and Baldwin are both charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Brant is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. All three are scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
