Scarlet is a 10 year old Shih Tzu who was surrendered to our rescue when her owner passed away. Her fosters report that she has been an excellent house guest: she is sweet, quiet, and friendly, and loves to lay next to you or somewhere nearby. She is the couch potato type and is happy with two walks of 10-15 minutes per day. They call her "the ultimate companion dog. Just sweet and lovable." She is good with dogs, cats, and kids. Scarlet has a non-shedding coat that will require regular grooming. Although she is currently fostered in a home with no other pets, she has previously lived with other dogs and would be an option for a multi-dog home. She has also lived with cats and was just fine sharing her home with cats as well. Just ask anyone who has ever adopted a senior dog: they are the best! They ask very little of you and yet have so much love to give. Take a chance on Miss Scarlet! Scarlet is an option for a variety of experience levels, from novice to very experienced! If there are any children in the home they need to be over the age of 6.
