Here are the top stories in Roanoke today: Two Roanoke animal shelters are teaming up to hold a pop-up Puppy Palooza adoption event. Angels of Assisi and the Regional Center of Animal Care and Protection (RCACP) will showcase rescue dogs in the community. Cats will be up for adoption as well. The event will be held this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the RCACP on Baldwin Avenue. (WSLS 10) A Pennslyvania-based bank recently opened in Roanoke. Ridge View Bank is the first bank to enter the Roanoke market in almost three years. The bank is already talking about opening new locations in the New River Valley as well as Southwest and central VA.
