Growing food industry business in Bayview/ Walker’s Point area of Milwaukee is seeking long term delivery driver. Deliveries are made in an excursion van, throughout Wisconsin and Chicago. Grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream shops, and bakeries are among the places delivered. Delivery routes can be lengthy, with driving distances up to 200 miles per day. Monday through Friday, first shift - usually 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, depending on the route. This is a customer service position, with interactions with customers every time a delivery is made. Some warehouse work is included. Requirements for this position include: Great customer service, good communication skills, a valid drivers license and clean driving record, a flexible schedule, the ability to read and write in English, must be comfortable driving a large vehicle in restricted areas, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, should be comfortable using a dolly in tight spaces or on stairs, must be comfortable driving long distances and potentially working long shifts. Deliveries are made year round, so working in cold and inclement weather will be required. Some skills that would be helpful for this position, but not required (will train the right candidate): Warehouse, pallet-jack, or forklift experience, food safety experience, any kind of food industry or wholesale type of experience. ** Please do not reply unless you are a serious candidate ** Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 and prepared to show vaccination card
