Press release from the Town of Brookfield: November 3, 2021 - 2:14pm The Brookfield Health Department is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the New Milford Health Department for the vaccination of Children ages 5 through 17. Clinics will be held on Tuesdays and Saturdays in New Milford at 2 Pickett District Road. Appointments are required. Approximately 40% of Children ages 5 to 11 may be silent carriers of the virus and show no symptoms whatsoever. Yet, they can transmit the disease to parents and grandparents, who may become seriously ill, even when fully vaccinated. Thus, it becomes that much more important that children also be vaccinated. Vaccinated children do NOT have to quarantine and can continue to participate in extracurricular activities, even if they have come into contact with a positive case.
