PITTSBURGH, PA — Don't be depressed that there's no Steelers game this weekend and you have to wait until Monday to see them play the Chicago Bears. There's still a lot going around town, and here are some Patch suggestions on events and activities to keep you out of trouble: Crash the Carnegies, Nov. 6-7, various times and locations. Join Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh to celebrate 125 years of Carnegie experiences. There will be live performances, story times, hands-on art making, historic tours, and more from the library, the four Carnegie museums and many other cultural groups in the city. Pgh. Vintage Mixer, Nov. 6, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Nova Place, North Side. This annual event brings together local collectors and small vintage businesses selling vintage fashion, vinyl, comics, toys, furniture, textiles, ceramics and pottery, mid-century modern wares, lighting, barware, artwork, collectibles and more. If you're into kitsch, you'll be into this. Hall: Drink the Cookie Table, Nov. 6, 4 p.m.-9 p.m., Spirit, Lawrenceville. This particular beer festival celebrates dessert beers. Patrons are encouraged to wear ugly sweaters. If that's not fun, tell Patch what is. Pittsburgh Bridal & Wedding Expo, Nov. 7, 1-5 p.m., David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Looking for the perfect gown, reception hall, reception menu photographer, music and honeymoon destination? This event could prove helpful, particularly if you're getting married soon. There also will prizes, giveaways and bridal fashion shows. EQT Pittsburgh 10-Miler, Nov. 7, 7:30 a.m., South Side Start on the South Side, finish Downtown and while you run celebrate themed miles celebrating things uniquely Pittsburgh: Mister Rogers Neighborhood, Potato Patch fries, cookie tables and parking chairs. The event is expected to attract some 3,500 participants from 36 states.
