High: 56 Low: 35. *Wake County also has a freeze warning in effect until 10:00 am* (CBS17) Here are the top stories in Raleigh today: On Tuesday Wake County School Board approved a short-term solution to get bus drivers back, but The Wake County Association of Educators stated that the board did the "bare minimum." (CBS17) Some bus drivers are continuing to call out sick and warn that there are more demonstrations to come. (WRAL)The Greenville Police Department had to seek help from the Wake County Sheriff's Office after an attempted murder suspect led them on a chase that ended in Raleigh. The sheriff's office tried to perform a traffic stop on the suspect who then led them on the chase, until he crashed into a utility pole, bringing down traffic lights around the intersection of Lichtford Road and Gresham Lake Road. (CBS17)Raleigh residents have been shocked to find additional charges on their power bill for Duke Energy's "home wiring repair service." Jeff Brooks, a spokesman for Duke Energy said that there are almost 130,000 customers enrolled and they have gotten less than a dozen complaints about the program, although at least one person was signed up without their knowledge. (WRAL)Open enrollment is now open for Affordable Care Act insurance and Senior's Health Insurance Information Program. The ACA enrollment period runs until January 15,2022, and the SHIIP enrollment will go through December 7, 2021. (WNCT9)You can likely expect a lot of political action over the next year.
