PHOENIX, AZ — One man has died and a woman and another man were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Phoenix Wednesday evening. There were two children in one of the vehicles who were not seriously injured, police said. Paul Cosma, 35, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The other man and the woman were both hospitalized in critical condition, according to Phoenix police. The crash happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Cactus Road, according to police. Police said that a GMC Yukon headed east is suspected of running a red light and colliding with a Toyota Highlander, causing the Highlander to strike a Toyota Camry. Debris from the crash hit a BMW stopped nearby, police said. The people in the Camry and the BMW were not seriously injured, according to police. The woman hospitalized for critical injuries was the driver of the Yukon, and the man hospitalized for critical injuries was the driver of the Highlander, according to police. Cosma was the front seat passenger in the Highlander, police said.
