GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Gwinnett County Public School District said schools will be closed Friday to celebrate the Atlanta Braves winning the World Series. "We know that many of our students, families and staff are planning to take part in this historic celebration and we foresee that special events on Friday could have a major impact on school district operations and attendance," according to their website. This will be a student holiday and will not need to be made up, according to the district.
