Description
NRC Research Institute, in the city of Orange, CA is currently enrolling patients into our PTSD research studies! Our studies are attempting to understand if new medications are safe and effective at treating social anxiety disorder.
PTSD may result from exposure to a traumatic event during which an individual experienced, witnessed, or was confronted with the actual threat of death or serious injury, or the threat to physical integrity to self or others. PTSD symptoms can be divided into four clusters: (1) persistent re-experiencing of the trauma, (2) avoidance behavior associated with feelings of detachment and emotional numbness, (3) negative alterations in cognitions and mood, and (4) symptoms of increased autonomic arousal.
YOU MAY QUALIFY TO PARTICIPATE IF YOU:
Are between 18 to 75 years old
Have been experiencing symptoms of PTSD mentioned above
Traumatic event that occured at 18 years old or older
Are willing to take study medication
The study doctor will discuss other requirements.
