Job description Job Duration: November - March $18-22 an hour Lawn Butler is looking for talented, hardworking individuals to join our Snow Removal team for the Winter Season. This position is on-call based because we work according to the weather, so hours per week fluctuate. Crews are usually made up of 2-4 people (refer your friends)! Keep in mind that businesses do not run 24/7. Most of our work is done overnight or early morning while parking lots are vacant. You must be capable of lifting 50 lbs and you must supply your own boots, jackets, gloves, etc. Applicants must be able to work in heavy snow, be available between 6 PM and midnight, and capable of working up to 6-hour shifts. The sidewalk snow removal position will consist of using a variety of pieces of equipment to remove snow from the sidewalks and entrances on clients properties. Shovels, snow blowers, ATV's, Sweepers, and other types of mechanical equipment will be utilized on the properties based on the size and requirements of the clients. You'll be asked to assist with others' routes and to clear and maintain proper pathways to and from buildings. Work is primarily performed before businesses open to ensure that safe travel is made available for employees and patrons. From April to October we are hiring for our landscaper positions, which have a different pay structure and job requirements. Snow Removal Requirements The ideal candidate will have reliable transportation and a hard work ethic Candidates must be hardworking, dependable, honest and committed Lifting of 50+ pounds may be necessary Attention to detail is key as safety is our top priority A valid driver’s license is NOT needed; however, reliable transportation will be required to either get you to your designated shop or work site Valid Identification Reliable Transportation Snow Removal Responsibilities Completing training and being able to pass an exam on safety and proper snow removal is required.
