Description

Crop and Field Operators are responsible for daily farm operations including but not limited to driving farm equipment, maintenance support of farm equipment, operation, maintenance, and servicing of irrigation engines and irrigation equipment, maintaining the appearance of the farm, and assisting the Operations Supervisor in achieving farm goals. CROP FIELD OPERATOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Efficiently and safely perform all crop and field tasks assigned by supervisor. 2. Utilize farm equipment to perform daily tasks including but not limited to irrigation, tillage, planting, spot spraying, grain cart 3. operation, and mowing. 4. Communicate daily with Field Operation Supervisor on scheduling and logistics. 5. Maintain equipment including daily preventative and repair maintenance. 6. Communicate and coordinate with operation supervisor for large repairs. 7. Utilize technology hardware for efficient task completion and accurate data collection. 8. Maintain the appearance of the farm and landowner properties, as assigned. 9. Coordinate irrigation schedule and specifications with supervisor. 10. Recommend and implement approved irrigation plans. 11. Assist with irrigation projects and maintenance, as instructed. 12. Utilize all equipment technology to effectively apply chemicals, fertilizers, and manure. 13. Efficiently and effectively operate any sprayers in the field. 14. Transport equipment as requested. 15. Follow all SOP's. 16. Conduct and document pre and post equipment use inspections and complete associated recordkeeping. 17. Obtain and update Class A non-commercial driver's license, or CDL and medical card, as necessary. 18. Assist in writing SOP's. 19. Assist with all record keeping and report filing. 20. Communicate inventory needs with supervisor. 21. Provide input into improvements for greater efficiency 22. Clean all equipment at the end of each season. 23. Maintain clean and organized the shop. 24. Follow all safety guidelines. 25. Special projects as assigned by supervisor.
