Looking for a bassist to write rock tunes with. I'd like to get the songs written and recorded for a drummer to play along with and learn. I love jamming. I think it's a great tool for finding grooves and having fun, but I'm looking for someone who wants to write full songs and play out sometimes. Down to learn some covers, too. I'm 33, I have a job and travel for it occasionally. I have a music degree, pro gear, and a place to write and record. I need music back in my life to feel more balance and fulfillment. I need time on stage to feel balance and get energy from people by sharing art. I want to make people dance and jump around. My influences for this project would be All Them Witches, True Widow, Black Mountain, Here Lies Man, Elder, etc. If you: Are cool and have a good attitude Understand Dynamics Don't have to play as loud as you can all the time Have decent chops Have decent gear Want to write riffy rock songs Want to play local gigs sometimes Want to make people dance Want to practice once a week, Hit me up! PS - I usually don't put this disclaimer, but the last couple Craigslist music experiences have been less than awesome. *I don't drink.* If you are looking to get shit-faced and attempt to play some bass, I am not the right fit for you. I don't judge those who drink and am cool with you living your life how you want, but my house or a rehearsal/show isn't the place to get drunk. Having a beer or smoking a bowl is all good if you can keep your shit together!
