COOK Full-Time $14.00 / hr Freeport location Mon-Fri 9-5p AHRC Nassau provides support to over 2,200 people throughout Nassau County. We have the following unique opportunity for a Full-Time Cook to join us. In this role, you will: • Assist in the food preparation for catering opportunities for customers and the Freeport Vocational Center. • Assist Culinary Supervisor and assistant supervisor in preparing food, cooking, heating, mixing, slicing, etc. to ensure food is properly prepared and available for participants and staff. • Assist in the preparation and set up for the Bethel Church lunch program ensuring that quality and quantity guidelines are followed • Complete kitchen clean up tasks and prepares food for storage following appropriate food handling procedures • When requested, assists in completing inventories in store room and storage area by physically counting materials, to ensure all items are accounted for as well as to ensure sufficient food supply for next day. We require: • High School diploma or Equivalent required. • Valid NYS Driver’s License required • Food service experience preferred. • Must have the ability to complete basic math skills; such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
