Description
Sanka is a 3 year old Ridgeback/Boxer mix on the smaller side of those breeds at 53 pounds. Our family bought her at 6 weeks old from another family on Craig's List. She has been a great dog for my daughter through COVID and homeschooling, but now everyone is at school or work full time. Sanka is sadly neglected.
Her major flaws are being mouthy and easily excited/jumping on new people. Sanka is eager to please and highly motivated by treats. She runs well next to a bike, and knows commands like 'sit' and 'down'. Growing up around cats and extended family's dogs, she's is well socialized. She would make a good walking/jogging companion, although she does not know how to "heal" and pulls at the beginning of a walk. Sanka begins to tire after 3 miles, but could build endurance with regular exercise. She is also a good trail dog and would come with her own harness and saddle bags to carry her food and water on longer hikes. Also included in the rehoming fee of $120 is an excellent powder coated crate, food bowls, collar, lead, treats, pick-up bags, and grain-free kibble. Together the gear and food is worth five hundred dollars. She is an inside dog and does not need a yard, fenced or not. She never goes outside without her people. Lately she spends all day on a blanket next to my desk. With no time to care for her I know she deserves better.
