Monitor and Tegu Rescue and Rehab. We understand that people purchase or take in large, difficult lizards without realizing how much work, space, time and money they truly take. We run a small rescue that specializes in all types of monitors and tegus with over twenty years experience caring for these incredible animals. The goal is to get the animals the care they require, their health up to par, socialize if possible and ultimately adopt them out to experienced owners. If you are in a situation where you can no longer care for your monitor or tegu, feel free to reach out to us. If we have the space we will take your animal in, get it the required medical care and everything else it needs. We do this no questions asked. Again, we understand that people purchase these animals without fully knowing what they are getting into. If you need to surrender an animal or donate supplies, reach out to us. Small rehoming fees for an animal in good health will be considered. Any animal in need of medical care will be a surrender only as the cost of the care is on us as a rescue. Reach out if you have any questions or concerns about care or any other help you may need. Our goal is to keep the pet in its current home if at all possible. On the rare the occasion we adopt an animal out, there is a vetting process that needs to be completed. We take pride in providing specific care per each animal. Monitor and tegu care varies wildly, we are experts in that care. Malnutrition, severe injuries, bone disease we can handle, manage and usually correct the problem for the betterment of the animal. Again we are a no questions asked rescue, don’t feel embarrassed to reach out, you will not be judged.
