We are a small contractor company looking for an independent contractor person to help us to manage various sizes of demolition & cleaning projects that we have right now outside of our typical workflow. The person should have a background in construction to be familiar with things like the composition of a wall or the best techniques to remove trim or flooring.
We will have a scope of work determined prior to beginning every job, and we'd like to hire someone who can manage a labor crew to perform the work exactly as we've written. A standard job may look like removing some drywall, removing some trim, removing some carpet or wood flooring, vacuuming the entire area, putting up plastic around the area within the home, and bagging & loading up trash.
We anticipate paying either an hourly rate or a daily rate (or 1/2 day?). We hope our person is not opposed to grabbing tools and helping on work to hit a deadline, but the first priority of the person we seek is to get the most out of the entire group to get the job done according to the project sheet.
Some projects will have homeowner interaction for questions and things that come up, so person will have to possess certain communication skills. English is a must, Spanish is a plus. Background Checks may be discussed, tax reporting requirements must be followed.
