Join Mid-Columbia Fisheries and Futurewise to help plant and mulch plants at a new riparian demonstration project at the Port of Pasco! We are excited about the native plants being installed at the Port of Pasco near Schlagel Park and on the banks of the Columbia River! The planting project is part of a larger ````````````````educational initiative being developed in partnership with Futurewise and supported by a grant from the Rose Foundation to expand our communities understanding of the importance of riparian habitat for wildlife and water quality enhancement! The added bonus of this project is that we are partnering with our tribal neighbors to thee the additional stories of how these plants have played an important cultural role in the region. We plan to have the site utilized by the local community for educational purposes. Come be a part of history in the making!
