Julie from Jules Loaves joins us in the kitchen for this delicious soup and bread class! Jules Loaves + Healthy Eats Nutrition Instructors: Julie Rottman and Elaina Moon It's soup season friends and what goes better with creamy soups then fresh baked bread! Come join us for a fun one-of-a-kind class featuring a new guest instructor Julie Rottman from Jules Loaves. Julie will show us how to make delicious and simple pumpkin-shaped artisan bread in different delicious flavors, and I will be showing you the art of making healthy creamy soups that pair perfectly with bread dipping! This is a hands-on cooking class and participants will get to help make the bread or one of the soups in small groups. Afterwards, enjoy a feast on all of the soups and bread. Participants will also take home the recipes and have the option of taking home a fresh loaf of bread if selected during ticket purchase. On the menu: (soups are gluten and dairy free, most of the bread is dairy free and egg free but contains gluten) Soups: Roasted Tomato Feta Mushroom Bisque Smokey White Bean Ginger Pumpkin Roasted Cauliflower, Leek & Potato Bread: Parmesan Roasted Garlic Classic Plain Ticket includes loaf to take home. Please specify which flavor you would like. Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person. About Julie: Julie discovered her love of baking artisan bread just a little over a year ago due to the quarantine and her hobby has grown into baking bread weekly for others. She enjoys snowshoeing, lunch dates with friends, cooking, and volunteering in her community. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 23 yrs and has 3 beautiful children. Her favorite child is currently George, their 4 year yr old dog. Elaina Moon is an ACE Certified Health Coach and Weight Management Specialist, CDC Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach, and holds a BS in Nutrition and Non-Profit Management from CWU. She is the owner of Healthy Eats and has been teaching cooking classes in Yakima since 2015. She has a passion for helping individuals live a healthy life through nutrition education and health coaching. She teaches two healthy lifestyle classes for Memorial Hosptial: ACT! Kids Healthy Lifestyle Program and Diabetes Prevention Program. In addition, she volunteers her time to nutrition-related non-profits including Meals On Wheels.
