DPR's first annual seed swap, The Seed Swap, welcomes DC residents to visit one of our communal gardens to swap seeds, seedlings & cuttings. In partnership with SWAP DC and Nu Healing Garden and Apothecary, DC Department of Parks and Recreation hosts its first annual seed swap event, The Seed Swap. During this free event, participants are encouraged to bring seeds, seedlings and houseplant cuttings to share and swap with local gardeners, farmers, and seed savers. Participants will be lead in a short, interactive seed-saving workshop using seeded produce/flowers growing at Lederer Youth Gardens (hosted at 5:30pm). The DC Department of Parks and Recreations' Urban Gardens Division organizes events and programming that activates over 30 city farms and gardens.
