A fun class focusing on clay and various hand building techniques and glaze styles During the class we will explore various clay techniques and finishes. With a focus on hand building. Kids will create art through both teacher-guided and self-guided experiences. In addition, students will have opportunities during the class for creative expression through decorating and painting themed activities. The first week we will make our own beads to make either a necklace, keychain or window hanger. Then using a pinch pot method and the slab roller we will create a spoon rest (perfect for gifting)! In the second class we will finish up spoon rest and begin painting the beads and planning out our accessory. The last class we will talk about color and how through various color combinations it can change the feeling our projects can give us. All projects will be ready for pick up the week fallowing class.
