Beer School is the premier beer tasting event of 2021. Join us as we taste our way through the beer trends of 2021 and beyond! 2021 brought many new trends and gimmicks to the beer world. Join us as we discuss and taste our way through the fruits of new partnerships and takeovers. Discuss what closings mean for the industry and learn the difference between gimmicks and trends through pour after pour as we taste some of the best beers in America. At 6 pm you will enjoy a delicious Whistle Pig beer as you are served beer brats with all the fixings, kielbasa bites, or wings. These will pair amazingly well with the Foothills Brown or Black IPA and will be a great beginning for your journey through beer trends of 2021. Be sure to get a good seat because class begins at 6:30 and is sure to increase your love and appreciation for an amazing beverage. Brewers Rob Beers and Eric Merrell will lead you on a journey exploring the tastes of trends come and gone, gimmicks here today and gone tomorrow, and tried and true styles. This promises to be an exploration of different styles from around the world. What’s next for the Seltzers? Who joined who this year? What the heck is a milkshake beer? Are IPAs still a thing? Who closed up shop? And, what’s next in beer? To answer these questions, we have searched far and wide to find representations of the unique and different trends as well as some of the old favorites. From gluten-free to barrel-aged we look to taste 8 beers representative of the different trends and styles discussed. Cheers Liquor Mart’s very own Cellar Manager Kyle will offer additional commentary and insights as well as talk about the trends he has seen and what his outlook is for 2022. An exclusive server will be on hand to serve you and help make the class B E E R I F I C ! School concludes at 7:30 with your choice of a flight of Whistle Piug Beers or a pint. There may even be a secret tap you can try. Whistle Pig likes to surprise and impress, each attendee receives a special Whistle Pig Pub Glass and will have an opportunity to win a bottle or something even more special. All of this for only $30. Seats are limited. We are a community oriented brewery located in the Patty Jewett and Bonneville neighborhoods of downtown Colorado Springs. We look to bring tasting and social events to the community through our brewery and the plaza we share with so many great businesses.
