Description

Join us for an afternoon of Art, Food, & Fun for a good cause! A non-profit artist residency project, Creativity Preservation Society and the Sewing History Museum have partnered to purchase and restore a historical property in Wichita, Kansas. The mother-daughter team of Monika Stockton Maddux and Katrina Stockton will run the property as a flex-use facility with the Sewing History Museum occupying the first floor. Classrooms, studios and residents will be on the second and third floors. We are hosting a large fundraiser for both non-profits with a goal of raising $100,000. The funds will help pay for start-up costs, operating expenses, restoration, display fixtures, and opening costs. The Museum will be open to the public in early 2022. Join us for the Silent Auction featuring many local artists and local businesses with hors d'oeuvres and wine. You will get to see the Historical Noble House before the museum opens!
