Walk Babylon is a pedestrian walking tour to engage Village residents and stakeholders in the Active Transportation Study process. The Village of Babylon is studying the walkability of our downtown area and main arteries into town through an Active Transportation Study being conducted in collaboration with Suffolk County. The study will analyze existing conditions in the Village and propose improvements. Improving walkability will help Babylon Village maintain its high quality of life. It goes far beyond building or widening sidewalks but rather relates to all transportation modes and, therefore, includes improvements to the cycling infrastructure and network, public transit and car use. We aim to engage Village residents and stakeholders in the study process and invite you to join us as we Walk Babylon to collect feedback. Two event times: Saturday, Nov 6 from 9 AM - 10 AM (daytime walk) Wednesday, Nov 10 from 6 PM - 7 PM (after dark) For each event, we will meet up at Village Hall for a brief overview of the study, followed by a walk around the downtown to collect feedback.
