Field Technicians have the important role of making sure the job site is clean, safe, and ready for work to start. Some job responsibilities include: • Perform manual labor tasks assigned by supervisors/foremen (e.g., digging, cleaning worksites of haz/non-haz materials, etc.). • Help welders, carpenters, equipment operators, and all other tradespeople to perform tasks that may require on-the-job training. • Handle, transport, load, unload, and install job materials, equipment, power tools (such as hammer drill, band saw, etc., and heavy machinery (such as forklifts, skid steer, etc.) on-site. • Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety and security standards. • Report issues with equipment or unsafe working conditions. • Following all OSHA safety guidelines. • Wearing required levels of personal protective equipment as needed (e.g., boots, safety glasses, respirator). Qualifications: • Active Driver’s License & Mode of Transportation. • Availability to travel roughly 20% of the time to remote project sites. • High School Diploma, GED, or certification in a skilled trade (Not Required) • OSHA 40 HAZWOPER Training (Not required. Must be willing to get certification when starting). • Familiarity with power tools and machinery (Not required). • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for 8 hours per day, lifting loads up to 40 lbs., working in confined spaces, clarity of vision at two feet or more). • Ability to understand, complete and apply common operational documents (such as daily worksheets and Standard Operating Procedures). • Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment. This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Local travel to various worksites may be required.
