Description

Join us for an interactive photography class with FAR's photographer Chaz Mottinger! In this two-hour session, we'll use our digital cameras to better learn the basics in all sorts of applications. There will be a few hands-on photo exercises to practice digital camera mechanics, composition, working with natural light. Please bring your digital camera. Camera phones are welcome! About the instructor: Chaz Mottinger is Bloomington-based professional photographer and Community Engagement Coordinator at FAR where she leads workshops and art programming. Her other work includes event and marketing for Indiana University Studios and instructing photo workshops for IU Lifelong Learning. Her photo work can be seen on billboards, ads, and in publications like Limestone Post. Note about COVID: Masks are required for all participants. We will be in a large space that allows for distancing, has a CDC recommended air filtering system and we will have our big garage doors open for plenty of ventilation, weather permitting. Also, our instructors are fully vaccinated. The FAR Center for Contemporary Arts was created in 2018 to expand and nurture the Bloomington arts community.
