Carter Playdate is a monthly program for children, ages 3–5 years old, and their favorite grown-up. Age: 3–5 years old with a favorite grown-up We aren’t scared of these shadows! This month, we’re playing with pattern, light, and shadow in Anila Quayyum Agha: A Beautiful Despair. Join us for storytime featuring Leila in Saffron by Rukhsanna Guidroz, explore Anila Agha’s intricate drawings and sculptures, and create your own shadow-puppet play together as a family.   Join us each month for Carter Playdate, our free program for children ages 3 to 5 and their families.   American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request.  Registration opens November 1, 2021. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art was established through the generosity of Amon G. Carter Sr. (1879–1955) to house his collection of paintings and sculpture by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell; to collect, preserve, and exhibit the finest examples of American art; and to serve an educational role through exhibitions, publications, and programs devoted to the study of American art. Now in its sixth decade of operation, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art offers a diverse array of exhibitions, publications, and programs that connect visitors to masterworks of American art.
