This class is designed for mothers who are planning on or thinking about breastfeeding their newborn.
Basic concepts of breastfeeding are covered, including both the benefits and challenges of breastfeeding, latch, positioning, tracking feedings, and knowing if baby is getting enough to eat. Transitioning back to work and pumping are also discussed. The $25 fee for this class covers both the mother and a support person, and a support person is encouraged to attend.
At Anderson Hospital, we're committed to caring for mothers and babies. That commitment is evident in every aspect of the Pavilion for Women—our state-of-the-art health care facility for women and newborns.
