Seen - Lost Dog

At 9:30 PM this evening I was headed north on the 99 through Southtown when a dog ran across the street in front of my car toward the First Alternative co-op. It was medium/large, brown with maybe a white chest, wearing a red collar. Maybe a pit bull mix but hard to tell in the dark and pouring rain. It was very clearly frightened and dodging traffic, so I pulled over and attempted to catch it. Unfortunately the poor thing ran off. I immediately called Corvallis PD dispatch and alerted them to a pet dog at large in Southtown near the co-op, and was informed an officer would go look for the dog. If this is your pup, I hope you are reunited and I'm praying for its safety tonight.
