CAS-UNO gathers key agencies involved in Afghan refugee resettlement in Nebraska Omaha to discuss resettlement issues and the way forward. Center for Afghanistan Studies (CAS) has the pleasure to convene a refugee and resettlement awareness during the International Education Week on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center, UNO. The event will raise awareness about the state of refugees in the United States with a particular focus on Afghan refugees coming to the Omaha, Nebraska. The event will feature various Nebraska based organizations involved in refugee resettlement and assistance and members of the Afghan community who will relate their exodus experience to their Omaha community members.
