Comedy of errors is the story of a screw up that is purely coincidental
Solinus, the duke of Ephesus, has imprisoned Egeon of Syracusa, an old man looking for his wife, his set of twin boys, and their twin servants. Syracusans are forbidden to walk among the streets of Ephesus, so Egeon is arrested. Antipholus of Syracusa and Dromio of Syracusa arrive in Ephesus, and are mistaken to be two other people. Who are these people? Antipholus of Ephesus and Dromio of Ephesus. Antipholus and Dromio of Syracusa get into all kinds of trouble, because they are mistaken to be Antipholus and Dromio of Ephesus, by everyone, including the wife of Antipholus of E and her sister.
