CRANKSGIVING is the world's largest pedal powered food drive. Part bike ride, part food drive, part FUN! Join 2021 Narberth Cranksgiving! Narberth Cranksgiving is a FREE event open to all-ages & all-levels of riders; participants purchase food donations in lieu of paying an event fee. Food donations support the Narberth Community Food Bank's efforts to provide food security for our neighbors. Choose from one of 3 ways to participate: Option 1: "SHOP & DROP" :All you need is a bicycle, a helmet, a bag/backpack... and a mask! On November 20th, anytime from 11 am - 3 pm, navigate the streets of Narberth and the aisles of American Family Market to shop for suggested food items on the provided shopping list - - purchase any amount of items you wish - - every bit helps our neighbors in need. Once you select the items you would like to purchase and make your way through the checkout line, head out on a self-paced, self-guided bicycle ride up to the "finish line" at Sabine Park to drop off your food donation to NCFB volunteers. Option 2: "THE TURKEY EXPRESS" :Be a bike courier for a day! On November 20th, between 11 am & 3 pm, navigate the streets of Narberth, stopping at the list of provided addresses to gather bags of food donations from the "PORCH PICKUP" participants, then pedal to the "finish line" at Sabine Park to drop off the food donations. Option 3: "PORCH PICKUP" :Shop on your own anytime from now until November 19th from the provided shopping list & leave your food donations on your front porch by 11 am on Nov 20th. The "TURKEY EXPRESS" will stop by between 11 am & 3 pm to pick up your food donation bag & pedal it to the "finish line" at Sabine Park. . . . -This event is open to ALL who wish to participate. -Non-bicyclists are encouraged to participate via the "PORCH PICKUP" option. -A cargo bike or bike + bike trailer is preferred for those who wish to participate via "THE TURKEY EXPRESS" option. -Riders of all ages & skill levels are welcome to participate via the "SHOP & DROP" option. A great option for families and casual riders! -Those who choose the "SHOP & DROP" option are welcome to ride solo or ride in small groups. -HELMETS & MASKS ARE REQUIRED for "THE TURKEY EXPRESS" and "SHOP & DROP" participants. -Deadline to register as a "PORCH PICKUP" or "THE TURKEY EXPRESS" participant is November 15th. Deadline to register for "SHOP & DROP" is November 19th @Noon.
