HEY DOG LOVERS! *Canine Excellence, located in Petaluma, CA.* We are currently hiring for TWO (2) passionate, enthusiastic Dog Handlers to join our popular Walk And Train program! This is an entry-level minimum of 3 days / week position, but we are looking for 2 handlers, 5 days / week. Demonstration of good character, ability to follow direction, strong work ethic and dedication can lead to a quick raise, benefits and future growth. The Ideal Candidate Requirments and Daily Duties: - A love for all dogs - Be available Monday through Friday from roughly 8am - 2pm - Physically capable of walking 3+ miles (1.5 - 2 hours) / day M - F - Supervise and manage dogs during care, in and out of the vehicle (includes cleaning up after them!) - Has a basic knowledge of dog breeds, behaviors and an understanding of dogs body language - Lives in Penngrove / Petaluma - Responsible, reliable, and punctual - Previous professional experience in the canine industry: dog walking, kennel, vet... horse experience is awesome too! - Has a valid California driver's licenses - *****Minimum of 3 years driving experience with a clean driving record***** - Ability to comforatably interact with clients when picking up or dropping off dogs - The ability to work independently and with your team - Owns a smart phone with a solid data plan for viewing your schedule, GPS to clients pick up and drop off locations, communication and photos - Can pass a back ground check with flying colors - Has good judgement and common sense to troubleshoot issues, does not panic under pressure - Ability to remain in a calm relaxed mindset while also having fun while working.
