Why not make the wealthy pay their fair share?

Description

I am neither wealthy or poor but I have seen obscene wealth in my day. It is natural but not Holy to covet such wealth. Some wealthy people are extremely generous and I admire that. But the disparity today is unlike anything I witnessed during childhood. As I earned more, my tax burden increased. Was not pleased at the ways this money was spent, but the Bible was clear on this. Render unto casear what is ceasar's---Render unto GOD what is GOD's. Just can't understand people's aversion to a proposed billionaire tax. When I saw that for 2014 and 2012 that Trump paid $750. for the year in Federal taxes (how much I paid in a single week), it made me question capitalism. Now the National Debt is nearing 30 trillion and citizens are balking at a proposal to increase taxes on the uber wealthy. I'm not at all for Bernie Sanders type spending nor forgiveness of student loans. I don't even support pre-school or child care subsidies. But defaulting on a debt we cannot pay off seems imminent if tax revenues don't increase.
