FRAMINGHAM, MA — Local police are searching for a man in connection to a weekend fatal shooting along Hayes Street, and a second man has been arrested following the killing. Eric Hargrett, 34, was stabbed and shot in the head early Saturday morning at a Hayes Street home during a robbery, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said during a Wednesday news conference. Aaaron Sutton, 49, was arrested by Framingham police Tuesday on charges of murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a gun. Police were searching for his brother, Eugene Sutton, 52, who Ryan said shot Hargrett. Framingham police learned about the Sutton brothers' involvement from a woman who knew Hargrett, Ryan said. Ryan said the three men went together to the Hayes Street home. The Suttons took money and a phone from Hargreett, Ryan said. "The subsequent investigation revealed that the home was operating as a rooming house and that the victim was not a resident there and was located in a room rented by another male party known to the victim," Framingham police said in a news release. Eugene Sutton was described as about 5'8" tall, 210 pounds and with brown hair. He also has a tattoo on his forearm of double-barrel shotgun, and is known to frequent downtown Framingham and Boston. Ryan said he is considered "armed and dangerous."
