Here are the top stories in Roanoke today: Virginia gubernatorial candidates Terry McAuliffe (D) and Glenn Youngkin (R) made their final campaign stops in Roanoke on Monday, just before yesterday's election. Youngkin, a self-described "political outsider," discussed his day one game plan, including tax cuts for Virginians. McAuliffe touted his previous experience as governor and promised "progressive changes" if elected. Both candidates encouraged voters to get to the polls and make their voices heard. (WSLS 10) Roanoke's 13th Street SE project is set to begin today. Drivers traveling south along 13th Street SE will be detoured using Norfolk Avenue onto 12th Street to Tazewell Avenue. The Virginia Department of Transportation says the project will improve traffic flow and connectivity between Church Avenue and Norfolk Avenue. (WDBJ7) City of Roanoke will be hosting its monthly Equity and Empowerment Advisory Board (EEAB) meeting this Thursday, Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Noel C.
