Here are the top stories in Buffalo today: Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown has declared victory in the race for City Hall, although Democratic challenger India Walton has not yet officially conceded. Brown, who ran a successful write-in vote campaign, has been mayor of Buffalo since 2006 and if declared winner, would be elected mayor for a historic fifth term. Walton said in a statement on Twitter, "it seems unlikely that we will end up with enough votes to inaugurate a Walton administration in January." (WGRZ)On Tuesday, Nov. 9, the Buffalo Common Council will hold a special public hearing to discuss the location of the proposed new Bills stadium. The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Common Council Chambers, located at 65 Niagara Square. (WIVB 4)A 16-year-old boy will spend the next one to three years in state prison for a June incident that resulted in injuries to several Buffalo Police officers. The teen was attempting to evade police after being caught in a stolen vehicle on Bailey Avenue and Langfield Drive when he crashed the car and injured police during the pursuit and arrest. He was granted Youthful Offender status and pleaded guilty in September to one count of Assault on a Peace Officer, Police Officer, Firefighter or Emergency Medical Services Professional (a violent felony), and two counts of Assault in the Second Degree. (WGRZ)The National Football League and the Buffalo Bills are encouraging local schools to get students moving for an opportunity to win a $1,500 grant for physical activity equipment. Buffalo-area schools can apply for the Get Moving Grant between now and Nov. 29. To participate, schools should visit the online NFL PLAY 60 exercise library to recreate their hometown team video.
